Brave Ones

I believe that Cancer is one of the most vile agents to infect the flesh.  I often wonder if God didn’t allow Cancer to exist in order to demonstrate to us his view of Sin.  By sin, of course, I’m referring to all those vile agents that rot the mind, heart and soul… fill in your own blank.  I’m close to a few women who have just been diagnosed with Breast Cancer and it breaks my heart.  What was once a place of warmth and nourishment for a nursing babe is now a place of pain and humility for a hurting mother.  It’s grotesque.  Moved by the strength of my friend, I wrote a song called Brave Ones, and I wanted to share the lyrics for any who may be encouraged by them  (those are here: brave-one.pdf).  You can also listen to the song here.
